WP400 webOS player for Video Wall Daisy-chain

WP400, the webOS player for LG Smart Signage Platform, offers a top-rate user experience, performing multiple tasks while providing smooth playback to the LG Video Wall. There are fixes to two issues that have come up in video wall daisy-chain with the respect to WP400 installations. The improvements are made for video output resolution and HDCP according to HDMI video input.

webOS 4.0 for UHD Line-up

webOS 4.0 and above will now support a portrait feature for UHD video (H.264/H.265) in the new firmware that will be released end of March 2020. Additionally, the portrait picture and video quality are significantly improved. This is part of our ongoing work to give end-users the ultimate flexibility so their content can be used across channels without reformatting.

LG LED System Controller with webOS (3rd Party) Applications

The LED system controller has advanced video-processing features and picture-quality algorithms such as 4K-scaling, sharpening, de-noising, HDR and more. Now, webOS partners and system integrators can use it to deploy their own solutions on LED Signage. The controller is operating on LG webOS 4.0 smart platform, which means it supports LG webOS applications. High Performance SoC with webOS

LG LED, LAS, LAPE and LAAF system controllers have built-in Quad Core SoC that can execute several tasks at once, while providing smooth content playback without the need for a media player. Also, LG webOS platform enhances user convenience with intuitive GUI and simple app development tools.

LG Smart Calibration vs Standard Calibration

We spend a lot of time working on calibration in order to minimize the effort required of our clients. LG Smart Calibration lets end users do in minutes what it takes hours to do with other solutions. It gets data on color and luminance by compartmentalizing each panel, with no need for attaching sensors. Display uniformity is automatically corrected by up to 90% using a definition-correcting chip. It can be done remotely or set up to happen automatically, which allows the displays to be adjusted for the wear and tear of commercial use without ever troubling the client. It doesn’t have to be on their radars because it’s on ours
